Flingamabob was born in 2021 when founder, Kevin Howell, wondered if there was a way to imbue the humble throw weight with 21st century technology.

It was after Kevin purchased a name brand slingshot launcher as a Christmas present for his uncle, to replace the trusted - and slow - fishing pole method. He realized that the only throw weights on the market to go with it were the same glorified hacky sacks - a bean bag with a D-ring appeared over and over.

Kevin then turned to CAD software and a 3D printer and after some proper tinkering, came up with a prototype for a better throw weight: the Flingamabob
